booking a session
I am typically booked out several weeks in advance. If you are pregnant and wish to have maternity portraits done, please schedule them between your 32-36th week. Sara leaves a select number of openings clear for newborns. If you are planning to have newborn portraits done, please book your session as much in advance, as possible, just let me know when you are due and we will work out the exact days once your little one gets here. Newborn portraits need to occur within the first two weeks of life. Holiday sessions book up very quickly, I begin shooting them in August and go through the middle of November.Please start makin your appointments as soon as possible to insure an opening for your family.
time
We will work together to find a time that works best for your session. Early morning or a few hours before sunset are the best time of day with beautiful light. Your session can last anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on location and the type of session we are working towards. Please allow about 2 weeks for all standard portrait orders and 3-4 weeks for any custom or specialty items.
location
Your session can take place where you feel most comfortable. Depending on the style of portrait you have in mind, I can shoot in your home, at a favorite park or outdoor area, or any other location with available natural light. I recommend a location where your children can easily and freely express themselves. Typically morning and evening light are best as we try to avoid mid-day bright sun as much as possible. Even a cloudy day can produce amazingly beautiful portraits. Please make sure that only the people you wish to have in your portraits attend the session, as this helps prevent unwanted distractions and cramped spaces.
after the session
Your gallery will be ready approximately 12-14 business days after the session (may be longer during the busy fall season). Your online gallery will be available for 7 days which allows distant family and friends to view and order portraits of their own. After that time, the gallery will automatically expire and your images will be archived. To have a gallery re-installed will result in a $25 fee. To prevent clogs and backups in my workflow, all images from sessions without orders 30 days beyond the time you are notified they are ready will be purged. Ordered images will remain on file for a year following your session should you ever need additional portraits.

portrait session creative fee: $100 ($75 for returning clients)
The non-refundable creative fee secures your session date and covers artist’s time/talent only. It provides you with a 1-3 hr. on-location* photo session and a 7-day online gallery** of at least 35 proofs from which to select images for purchase. Covers up to 5 members of the same family, $25 each additional family member.

Your fee covers:
- Artist’s time and creativity.
- Brightness and color correction on every image .
- Initial consultation via phone, e-mail or in person.
- Post-session image correction,
- Private online-gallery (password protected ) which you can share with friends and family.
- Second round of editing to perfect prints that are ordered.
- DVD slideshow of the best images from your event
do you offer weddings?

*Client is responsible for fees related to location choice (parking, admission, etc.); travel up to 60 miles round-trip from 68123 is included; contact me for rates on additional time/travel.
** Galleries are good for 7 days; $25 to upload an additional week.

You will have the option of high quality professional prints for gifts, keepsakes, wall art, and decor.
Desk Prints start at $15 for a 5×7 or smaller.
Gift Prints start at $25 for an 8×10.
Wall Portraits start at $65 for an 11×14 and come in sizes up to 20×30.
Fine art canvases, storyboards, collages, custom cards, albums, session proof boxes, and packages to combine your favorite prints and products are also available.

Take advantage of the referral program as often as you like! Receive a $25 credit voucher toward prints at your next session for each new client that you refer. Your personal credit voucher will reflect your total amount of credits on your balance. You will receive custom referral cards with your order to pass along to friends and family with your referral code.
Credits valid on orders placed before the online gallery expiration. Credits may only be applied to Collections & Prints. Credits are awarded when the session retainer is received from the new client and are valid for one year from that date.
*Credits and special offers are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Print credits are applied to a future session and are not applicable to past sessions. Credits expire 1 year from date of referral session.
